Webhook support for incident events
Send data incident events to any 3rd party tool to automate your incident management workflows.
Metaplane makes it simple to start receiving incident alerts and supports native integrations with popular notification and incident destinations like Slack, Microsoft Teams, email, PagerDuty and Jira.
One of the most helpful features is the ability to route and group incidents so that data teams can avoid alert fatigue and ensure the right people find out about incidents at the right time.
We’re excited to share that, in addition to these native integrations, Metaplane now supports webhooks for incident events so that if your team uses a different incident management platform, you can easily integrate it with Metaplane in minutes.
Incident Webhook Use Cases
Metaplane supports sending webhooks when incidents are opened, additional monitor failures are attached to an incident, and when the incident is resolved.
Here are some of the use cases our customers are already using webhooks for:
- Integrating Metaplane with internal notification platforms
- Opening and resolving incidents using tools like OpsGenie, Incident.io, Grafana, or FireHydrant
- Creating project management tickets in tools like ClickUp, Jira, Shortcut and Linear
- Kicking off automations based off of failures of certain warehouse objects using tools like Zapier
Start Using Webhooks Today
Webhooks are available to all customers, including free accounts. To get started, read our docs and create a webhook destination by visiting your alert settings page in Metaplane.
