Announcing: Support for Snowflake Dynamic Tables

We have a long history with Snowflake - from building out our first integration, to building the first native application for Data Observability, to being the first Data Observability tool that passed the Snowflake technical validation on our way to a Premier Partner designation.

Snowflake is important to many of our customers as their warehouse of choice, and may be the next warehouse that your team moves to as they release new, compelling features, such as Dynamic Tables.

In 2023, Snowflake continued its development of Dynamic Tables, providing an easier way for teams to work off of incrementally refreshed transformation outputs, useful for any recurring data usage.

In 2023, and more specifically, today, Metaplane also supports Dynamic Tables.

This means that you can apply our machine learning based data quality monitors to automatically find freshness, row count, numeric distribution, or other types of errors for all of your tables and views in Snowflakes, no matter the type. When you do find an incident, use our column level lineage to understand which dashboards sit downstream of your dynamic tables so that you can proactively alert stakeholders that you’re in the midst of resolution. Then, using that same column level lineage, trace upstream to find the root cause, and use context provided in the application to learn how to prevent this from happening next time.

Log in or create your Metaplane account after making your Dynamic Tables so that you can set up monitors today.
