We prioritize your compliance and security requirements, which is why we’ve ensured that we’ve undergone a similar SOC 2 Type 2 certification process that Snowflake offers, and built compatible connection methods such as PrivateLink support. And Because the Snowflake Data Cloud brings so much value to our customers, we’ve continued to leverage our partnership with Snowflake to ensure that we’re using the most efficient, accurate ways to alert you to any data anomalies. One example of how we do this is by retrieving Lineage-related from your Snowflake Data Cloud, using:

ACCOUNT_USAGE: to understand query history and credit usage for Metaplane customers to understand which objects are often referenced, optimize Snowflake spend, and see column level lineage from objects in your Snowflake instance through to other data tools.

INFORMATION_SCHEMA: to understand your data profile, including when tables were last updated, so that we can alert Metaplane users if they’re using stale data.

As Snowflake Data Cloud continues to innovate, we’ll be right there along with them. This includes supporting the latest releases, such as updating our platform to support the newest table type in public preview, Dynamic Tables.
